Refund Policy

CANCELLATION & DONATION REFUND POLICY

Auromusic Foundation is a registered Section 8 non-profit organisation incorporated under the Indian Companies Act, 2013. We appreciate your support for our charitable programs. Since donations are immediately committed to our projects, we maintain a clear policy regarding transaction cancellations and refunds.

1. General Policy & Domestic Restriction

  • Finality: All donations made to Auromusic Foundation are absolute, voluntary, and final. No refunds or cancellations will be entertained for a change of mind.
  • No Foreign Donations (Strict Policy): Auromusic Foundation does not hold an FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) license. We strictly accept donations only from Indian bank accounts or Indian payment instruments denominated in Indian Rupees (INR). Any foreign currency or international card transaction detected by our gateway will be cancelled immediately.

2. Exceptions for Automated Transaction Errors

Refunds will only be evaluated in the event of clear technical errors or unauthorized usage via our Razorpay Payment Gateway:

  • Duplicate Charges: The system processed a single donation event multiple times due to network or server timeouts.
  • Data Entry Errors: The donor accidentally added extra digits to the intended amount (e.g., entered ₹50,000 instead of ₹5,000).
  • Fraudulent Activity: Verified unauthorized usage of a card, net banking account, or UPI identity.

3. Timeframes & Strict Deadlines

  • 7-Day Reporting Window: Any claim for a refund must be sent via email within 7 (Seven) working days of the transaction date.
  • Financial Year End Cutoff: No refund requests will be accepted or reviewed if the transaction occurred in a previous Financial Year, regardless of the 7-day rule.

4. Treatment of Automated 80G Receipts

  • Provisional Invalidation: Our payment gateway, Razorpay, automatically generates and emails an 80G tax exemption receipt immediately upon a successful transaction.
  • Cancellation of Claim: If a refund is approved by Auromusic Foundation, the instantly generated Razorpay 80G receipt stands null and void. The donor is legally prohibited from using that specific receipt for income tax deduction claims.
  • Exclusion from Form 10BD: The refunded amount will be excluded from Auromusic Foundation’s annual filing of Form 10BD (Statement of Donations) with the Income Tax Department. Consequently, no official Form 10BE Certificate will be issued for that transaction.
  • Prior Filings: If a refund request is received after the foundation has already filed its Form 10BD for that fiscal period, no refund can be processed under any circumstances.

5. How to File a Refund Request

To initiate a review, email your request to auromusicfoundation@zohomail.in with the subject line “Donation Refund Request – [Your Razorpay Payment ID]”. You must include:

  1. Full Name and PAN of the donor.
  2. Date and Time of the transaction.
  3. Exact Amount deducted.
  4. Razorpay Payment ID or Bank Reference Number.
  5. Copy of the auto-generated Razorpay 80G receipt received via email.
  6. Reason for the refund request (with a bank statement screenshot if it was a duplicate charge).

6. Settlement and Processing Details

  • Source Credit: Approved refunds will be routed strictly back to the original funding account, card, or UPI ID used on Razorpay. Cash or alternate-account transfers are legally prohibited.
  • Fee Deductions: Any payment gateway processing fees or platform charges incurred during the donation or refund process will be deducted from the final disbursed amount.
  • Timeline: Please allow 7 to 14 business days for the refund to reflect in your source account after formal approval.

7. Final Discretion

The decision of the Management Committee of Auromusic Foundation regarding the validity of a refund claim is absolute, final, and legally binding.
